Seems Cormick Berry did not die in 1831..... Cormick Berry was listed as 36 years old on arrival. Native Place: Athlone, Roscommon. Cormick was 5'8" tall, rather dark and pockpitted complexion, brown hair, grey eyes. In hospital on arrival. Medical Journal of the Asia 1831: Cormick Berry, aged 30; convict; disease or hurt, dysentery. Put on sick list, 20 November 1831. Discharged, 3 December 1831 to hospital, Sydney. NEW SOUTH WALES. RETURN OF ALL CONVICTS ASSIGNED BETWEEN THE 1st DAY OF JANUARY AND THE 31st DAY OF MARCH, 1832: 152. Berry Cormick, Asia (8), labourer, to G. C. Curlewis, Sydney. 24/3/1840: TOL, Goulburn - cancelled for being out of his district and representing himself to be free - later restored. 25/9/1843: TOL, Yass - In lieu of TOL dated 24/3/1840, cancelled. - Altered for Berrima 15/2/1844 per letter from the Yass Bench per the Gov. minutes on a recommendation by the Col. Engineer. - Cancelled for absence from district 11/10/1850. 2/10/1840: Permission to marry Bridget Lourigan (Whitby 1839) - Bridget was 24 and on Bond - Cormick was 45 and had a TOL. - At Goulburn, permission granted. No Registration found. No date of death found.

Cormick Berry was convicted at Galway, 1830. Life Sentence. Transported to New South Wales, Australia on the 'Asia' 1831. Conditions on the ship were not good, 14 deaths and many ill. Cormick was admitted to hospital in Sydney but died 10 days later, from scurvy.
