John Berry and Anthony Berry were indicted for stealing four ewes, the goods of Richard Cosgrave. The prosecutor deposed to the loss of the sheep, and them being found there afterwards in the prisoners’ possession; he had the initials of his name on the sheep. The brother of the prisoners proved that they were in the habit of purchasing and selling pigs and sheep ; they bought the sheep in question from man in Ennis. Mr. William Roland gave them a good character. Sir. Isidore never heard any thing bad of their characters. Knows nothing of them for the last few years.
