A bricklayer's boy Robert was convicted of stealing a 'flute and a pair of breeches'. Ticket of leave received 7th May 1831. Married Edith Thurrowgood (daughter of Joseph, also a convict), on 28th November 1836. Conditional Pardon received on 17th July 1845. Sailed to Victoria 1846 - 1847, probably landing at Indented Head and from there to Geelong where he and his family lived. Robert and Edith are buried in Geelong.
