Joseph Betty was convicted at Devon on 5 Aug 1816. 7yr sentence. He was transported on the 'Prince Leopold' to van Diemen's Land in 1819. Colonial Offences: 12 June 1820 Drunk & disorderly. 1 Jul 1820 Forgery & uttering - 200 lashes and to be sent to Newcastle for the remainder of his sentence. To NSW per 'Lord Eldon'.
