Transportation
The ‘Guildford’ was built on the River Thames, England in 1810. Used as a Convict Transport ship to Australia - voyages 1812, 1816, 1818, 1820, 1822, 1824, 1827 & 1829. The ship was lost at sea near Singapore in 1831, loosing all aboard.

List of 80 male convicts (originally sent on Guildford 1812) be embarked per Ruby of Calcutta to Hobart Town, with the indents from Guildford, master Johnson, in 1812. https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON13-1-1$init=CON13-1-1P22 Christopher Bentler, Bexhill C.M., tried 13 Sept 1810. Life. -------------------------------------------------- On Thursday a Court-martial commenced at Bexhill, for the trial of two privates of the 2nd battalion of the ROYAL GERMAN LEGION, who deserted a few days ago, and took from the beach a large boat for the purpose of going out to the enemy. They were apprehended by a boatman off Dover.” Times Newspaper, Monday, 17 Sept. 1810.
