At the assizes for Somerset, 11 prisoners were capitally convicted, and received sentence of death, viz. ... John Bicknell, for stealing one sheep; ...Six the above convicts are be executed at Ivelchester on next; the others were reprieved before the Judge left the town. Salisbury Journal, 9 April 1787
