Convict Notes
George was transported for 2 Ewes and 1 Ram from his employer Thomas Crane of High Abberley. He sold them to a butcher named Mr W. Harding, who suspected them as been stolen. Listed as a widower on the ships indent. Assigned to William Wentworth at Vaucluse on arrival. Later worked on Wentworth properties in the Hunter Valley. 15/3/1841: CP 26/10/1842: Married Agnes Caunter (Elizabeth 1836) and had 7 children. After working at Lane Cove and Blue's Point the family moved to Cumberland St Rocks Sydney, then moved to Grafton and onto Tenterfield and Glen Innes. He worked as a shepherd for the Irby family on Bolivia Station near Tenterfield. 27/9/1861: George died of inflammation of the lungs as Bolivia Station, Tenterfield, NSW
