James was literate, married with 1 female child, 5'1" tall, dark sallow complexion, brown to grey hair, dark hazel eyes, two front teeth in upper jaw apart, mole upper part of right arm, another back of lower left arm, scar inside ball of left hand. Transported for stealing a ham. 30/4/1840: TOL, Braidwood. Possible Death: James Biggs, aged 71, buried at the Braidwood General Cemetery, C of E section.
