William (The Younger) Biggs was transported on the Surrey Or Surry, departing 2nd Oct 1822 and arriving 4th Mar 1823 with 161 passengers.

Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

Committed to Fisherton Gaol: - Jas. Doggett, James Grist, William Timbury, and William Biggs, all of Bradford, labourers, charged with having, on Wednesday the ? instant, stopped William Lemmell on the highway the parish of Bradford, and forcibly taken from him one pair of shoes and one pair of women’s boots, his property. Salisbury and Winchester Journal, 13 May 1822 The following were convicted and sentenced as under: Death. - James Doggett, James Grist, William Timbury and Wm. Biggs, for robbing Wm. Lennell? of a pair of shoes and a pair of boots, near Bradford – … ( All the above culprits have been reprieved). Salisbury and Winchester Journal, 29 July 1822 All four were transported on the Surry or Surrey.
