SUSSEX ASSIZES. . , the above Assizes . ; which ended at Lewes, on Tuesday last, eleven prisoner were tried, two of. whom were capitally convicted, and received sentence Of death, Viz:- - JOHN BIGNALL, aged 28, for Stealing 22 sheep, the property of Mr Charles Coppard, of Finden. He was also charged with stealing.43,sheep, the property of H. Peters, Esq of Dorking, Surry.—And ED. JONEs, 48; for stealing; from the dwelling houses of Mary Collison and W. Lusted Of Ticehurst ; wearing apparel and other articles. They were both reprieved before the Judges left the town South Eastern Gazette, 27 Aug 1816.
