George Bingham was a soldier/Cutler, he was single, a native of Sheffield, Eng., and transported for Desertion and Theft. George arrived in VDL and was sent on the NSW, his indent records: 22 years old, 5'7 /2" tall, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, blue eyes, tattoos. 1837 Sydney: Assigned to H P Dutton - Merton. 20/7/1840: His life sentence was reduced to 14 years. (He was to receive an Absolute Pardon). 11/3/1844: TOL Passport - Singleton Bench. also on 12/5/1845, 4/8/1846 5/5/1849: COF Possible death in 1857 (no proof) 25/6/1842: TOL Patrick Plains.
