Borough Sessions. Edwin Bird, a boy eleven years of age, who bad also been previously convicted, pleaded guilty to having stolen a pair of boots from Samuel Hemmingham. and transported for seven years. Birmingham Journal, 15 April 1843. -------------------------------------------------- At the same time were also removed to the Parkhurst Prison, Isle of Wight— George Hopkisson, Luke Quinn, and Henry Giles, ten years; William Yardley and Edwin Bird, seven years. Warwick and Warwickshire Advertiser, 29 July 1843.
