Tried in Dublin 22 January 1829 and sentenced to 7 years transportation for stealing shoes. Assigned to Dept. of Public Works on arrival. 52247 Bird William - Guildford 1829. 1836 4 January. Newcastle BB. Attached to the gaol. Charged with drunkenness and riotous conduct. Used the turnkey on the way to the gaol. Sentenced to 50 lashes.
