9/4/1836 Gloucestershire Chronicle Gloucestershire, England: CROWN COURT CHARGE OF MURDER.__David Bishop, aged 19, was charged on the coroner's inquest with the wilful murder of Anthony Halliday...The Jury found the prisoner guilty of manslaughter. David Bishop was listed as being 22 years old on arrival in VDL - he was born in Minchinhampton. David was 5'3ΒΌ" tall, dark complexion, very dark brown hair, thin whiskers, hazel eyes, scar inside little finger right hand, single. 19/1/1844: TOL 19/5/1846: Recommended for a CP 21/9/1847: CP approved. 15/8/1851: Married Rhoda Parkin, 34 and a widow, at Richmond - David was 35 listed as a Carrier. Rhoda GUNN (Emma Eugenia) married Francis Parkin in 1843 - Francis died 7/1/1851 and Rhoda Parkin then married David Bishop - no children listed. 18/7/1864: David Bishop, a Post Messenger, was accidentally drowned, aged 48..registered at Richmond, Rhoda Bishop, widow, was the informant. Rhoda Bishop then married Thomas Wroe, a widower, on 31/7/1865 at Richmond.
