John Bishop was 15 years old on arrival - his native place was London, Eng. John was nearly blind in his right eye. Sick List of the Waverley: Folio 1: John Bishop, aged 15; convict; sick or hurt, constipation; put on sick list 18 March 1839, discharged 28 March 1839 to duty. 30/12/1843: Newcastle Gaol - Admitted to Newcastle gaol from Paterson charged with insolence and neglect of duty. Sentenced to 2 months on the tread mill and at the expiration of the sentence to be returned to government. 23/9/1847: COF
