Parents: Thomas Blackhurst 1760- Ann Brett 1761-1800 21/10/1817: Married Elizabeth Hassell (1786-1865) at Audlem, Cheshire. 19/8/1846: TOL, Goulburn - Altered to Parramatta 3/11/1846. 30/9/1877: Samuel Blackhurst died at the Parramatta Asylum and was buried 1/10/1877 at St. John's, Parramatta. https://www.ancestry.com.au/family-tree/person/tree/164795921/person/392158402952/facts

17/8/1839 Manchester Courier and Lancashire General Advertiser Lancashire, England: Samuel Blackhurst was transported for life on a charge of sheep stealing. Samuel Blackhurst was listed as 45 years old on arrival - native place: Shropshire. Samuel was illiterate, Protestant, married with 5 male and 1 female children, 5'9½" tall, dark ruddy complexion, brown mixed with grey hair, hazel grey eyes, mark of a boil under left jaw, three long scars top of centre of forehead, front of head bald, breast and arms hairy, scar back of right hand, three scars back of little finger of left hand, another back of middle finger of same. 1846: TOL Goulburn 1/5/1851: CP 26/11/1864: Elector in the district of St. Leonards, NSW. 1877: Samuel Blackhurst died, aged 79 years, at Parramatta.

Married to Elizabeth Hassell. Daughter Ann, Son Henry, John and William. I think there may have been another child. Samuel Blackhurst was my Great great great grandfather.
