George Blackman was 52 years old on arrival in VDL. He was transported for stealing 4 yards of printed cotton/a gown piece, value 4/6d. George was listed as a Stableman/farm labourer. George was single, could read and write a little, 5'2 1/2" tall, sallow complexion, dark hair, hazel eyes and had lost the 3rd finger left hand. June 1854: TOL 12/6/1855: CP 20/8/1877: George died at Launceston aged 80 years.
