Ann Blake was convicted at Wexford on 1/3/1850 for Arson - houseburning. 10yr sentence. Previous convictions for stealing potatoes and clothes. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Blackfriar', arriving 1851. Single; aged 25yrs; country servant; native place - Wexford; blue eyes; dk brown hair; dk complexion; 5'3 1/2"; Protestant; can read & write. Assignments of service in Colony. Battery Point & Hobart. 24/2/1852 Absent - 8mths hard labour at Female Factory, Hobart. Permission to marry approved. Married George Jones (ex 'Adelaide' convict ship) 1853. Ticket of Leave 20/3/1855 Died H.M. Hospital, Hobart 14/11/1855.
