Built in Bristol, England. Launched in 1819. 450 ton ship. Five voyages to Australia transporting convict persons. Children of convicts were also transported but considered "free settlers" and not listed by name. The 1832/33 & 1835/36 voyages do not yet have complete lists of passengers - currently being updated. Oct 1827 Thomas Blakes listed Hertford Court no conviction. 1828 Lent Assizes Hertford Thomas Blakes convicted sheep stealing - death. I think this must have been commuted to life but cannot find the details. 18th May 1828 Was transferred to the “Ganymede” prison hulk moored at Chatham. 16th December 1828 arrived on the “Roslin Castle” Assigned to public works. 20th February 1830 Attempted to negotiate a bank receipt for 122 pound the property of the late George Cable deceased. No proof it had been stolen. 6th August 1831 Embezzled 8 gallons of rum, 3 pairs of boots from master 5th December 1831 Neglect of duty and extreme insolence - imprisoned 2 years. 30th May 1832 Absconded from Bridgewater Gaol on 25th May 1835 Assigned to Mr Gibson 25th May 1836 Stole soap from master while working as washerman 29th July 1836 Gross insolence of master Conditional Pardon 1833 to 2nd September 1841: extended to 3rd February 1852 22nd November 1840 Married Sarah Ratcliffe nee Phillips
