Blenkinsop, (husband of Bridget Blenkinsop, who was committed for trial last week, for stealing bacon,) was brought up under the following circumstances. It appeared that the prisoner had left two door brass plates at Mr Edgar's workshops, on the George's Stairs this morning, a, little after six o'clock, one of which was Mr Clapham's on the Sandhill, and the other Mr J. W. Dickinson's. A lad stated, that the prisoner brought them into the shop and said, Here are the plates, and went away The bench were satisfied that the prisoner was deranged in his mind, and ordered him to be sent to the relieving Office.
