NATIVE PLACE: Suffolk. CRIME: Stealing an ass. Described in his VDL Conduct Record as "a wandering gypsy, convicted before". He is listed as married with 8 children but also as single with 8 children. John Blewitt received a Free Certificate No.174 in 1841 (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-5$init=CON31-1-5p177).
