Convict Notes

The fine ship Princess Victoria, Captain Bisset, has returned to port, with a cargo of wheat, sugar, rice, segars, and other Indian merchandize. Thirteen prisoners from India have also been forwarded to Sydney by the same conveyance; they were all soldiers, and have been transported for various acts of insubordination in their regiments. It is to be hoped that as none of them, (as we are informed), have been guilty of felony, some distinction will be made in their punishment. Sydney Herald, 1 Dec 1834.
