Mordecia Bolwell was convicted at Somerset on 02/08/1845 for burglary and stealing 30lbs of bacon. 1st conviction. 10yr sentence. Transported to Australia per the ship 'China' 1846. Assigned to Norfolk Island (east of NSW) then transferred to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania). Ticket of Leave 27/08/1850. Recommended for Conditional Pardon 1851. Accidentally drown at New Town (nr Hobart) on 22/07/1852.
