Edinburgh Evening Post and Scottish Standard - Wednesday 14 March 1849: 12 March 1849- Mary Bone, Henry Grant, and Elizabeth Henderson were placed at the bar, charged with having stolen a watch from the person of a young man, while in house in Leith Wynd , occupied by the prisoners. They pleaded not guilty; but, after evidence had been led, the jury found the libel proven, and the prisoners were sentenced to ten years’ transportation. Greenock Advertiser, 16 March 1849.
