NEWSPAPER report of the trial on 24 February, 1846: "Henry Boswell was then put to the bar, charged with having, at Nenagh, the night of Tuesday, the 5th, or morning of Wednesday, the 6th August 1845, robbed the house of Thomas Reynolds of money and other property. Counsellor Doherty addressed the jury on behalf of the prisoner; they retired to their room, and after a short time returned with a verdict of 'Guilty'.
