Family connections for Thomas (Bourne) are: BOURNE Thomas (Bourne/Brown) was born about 1798. He was tried at Worcester Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 10 1818 after a voyage of 9months on TOTTENHAM. He is recorded as a bricklayer when he married with permission Mary (Patfield perhaps her first marriage) on 27 7 1822 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He is recorded in 1828 as Free by Servitude bricklayer with his wife at Kent St Sydney. He may have divorced before 1830. [Noted a Thomas (Brown) convict is recorded as dying on 25 12 1830] [Some details taken from this Website] Mary (Patfield) was born on 5 5 1804 & baptised on 5 11 1809 age5 w/Elizabeth & Sarah at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She is recorded in 1828 with her husband at Kent St Sydney. She may have divorced before 1830. She may have married secondly Robert (Gore); she was Catholic.
