In July 1844 at the High Court of Justiciary, Walter Bowie, Robert Holms and Foster Holms were found guilty of breaking into a shoemakers shop in Lasswade, County of Edinburgh and stealing boots and shoes. Bowie and Robert Holms had previous convictions and each received transportation for 7 years. Foster Holms received 6 months imprisonment. - see Scotsman newspaper 24 July 1844 p 3 on 'High Court of Justiciary'. Note: There is no trace on Convict Records of Robert Holms being transported.
