Thomas Bowler convicted at Oxford 21/07/1830 for housebreaking - stealing silver and bread. Life sentence. Gaol Report: character & conduct bad Hulk Report: orderly Single; ploughman; lt brown hair; grey eyes. VDL: 1832 & 33: Assigned to Mr. Glover 1835: Public Works SECOND CONVICTION - in Van Diemens Land (separate record in Conducts Books): 09/10/1847 Launceston Supreme Court - counterfiet, uttering coins. 2yrs Imprisonment and hard labour. Station Gang: Jericho, VDL. This lists Thomas as a shoemaker and married. Also that he had one wooden leg.
