Moreton Bay Convict Register. John Boyle, per Guildford 8, Tried at City Dublin, 7 Apr 1829, 7 years, for Felony of coat & bridles. Trade, Horse shoer. Colonial Conviction: Bench, Maitland, 4 Feb 1831, Two years for Absconding and Larceny, Returned to Sydney, 16 Aug 1833. Description, John Boyle, native place, Dublin; age 19, 5 ft 3¾; Sallow comp, brown hair, hazle eyes. Catholic.

Tried 7 April 1829 and sentenced to 7 years transportation for stealing bridles. Assigned to the Dept. of Public Works on arrival. Note _ See Application 11 January 1841 from Muswellbrook for Certificate of Freedom. 27753 Boyle John - Guildford 1829. 1830's Glendon GDB. Assigned to H. Scott. Sentenced to 2yrs to penal colony for absconding and larceny. 91021 Boyle John - Guildford 1829. 1831 5 February NGE. Blacksmith from Dublin; R/C; To be forwarded to a penal settlement for 2 yrs. 131177 Boyle John - Guildford 1829. 1837 10 May GG. Horseshoer age 26 from Co. Meath. 5ft 3 in, dark ruddy and pockpitted complexion, brown hair, dark hazel eyes, horizontal scar at top of forehead in hair, Absconded from escort from Newcaslte to Invermein 3rd May. Second time of absconding. 131370 Boyle John - Guildford 1829. 1837 12 April Merton GG. On List of runaways apprehended during the previous week. Absconded from Chief Justice Francis Forbes. 131717 Boyle John - Guildford 1829. 1837 23 August - GG. Horse shoer age 26 from Co. Meath. Absconded from the Escort from Brisbane Water to Sydney 14 August 1837.
