John Brady was transported on the Waterloo, departing 18th Dec 1830 and arriving 30th Apr 1831 with 200 passengers.

1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

Absconded. Brady John, Waterloo, No. 31-587, 24, County Cavan, Labourer, 5 feet 6¾, brown hair, brown to blue eyes, ruddy much freckled complexion, irregular scar right side lower lip, long slight perpendicular scar right side of mouth, from No. 3 Road Gang, since 24th July. NSW Govt Gazette, 7 Aug 1833.

CAVAN ASSIZES. The following are the other convictions: ... John Brady, larceny —to be transported seven years, the  grand jury having recommended him to be a fit object of mercy. … Enniskillen Chronicle, 5 Aug 1830.
