Married man; married to Isabella Duncan 10 Jan 1840, had 4 children in Scotland - David (1841), Isabella (1843), Andrew (1844) and George (1848). In 1859, Isabella and his 4 children came to join George on the vessel Hamilla Mitchell. A 5th child, John was born in 1861. George was a tenant farmer in'Front Flats, Greenough, WA. One of George's grandsons, David, was Sir David Brand, who became the Premier of WA in 1959 until 1971.
