Further conviction at Sydney, NSW 03/08/1836 for intent to kill by stabbing. His defense was that the man, who lived at Newcastle, stabbed himself. Death sentence, commuted to Life, in irons. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Lady Franklin', arriving 12/10/1845. Roman Catholic; can read & write; Gent's servant; 5'1 1/2"; aged 55yrs; fresh complexion; brown hair; Hazel eyes; married, 1 child. Native Place: Queens County. Station Gang in VDL: Port Cygnet 1yr.
