Per "Alexander", 1788. 1823 Sep 10 Affidavit re loss of her certificate of freedom (Reel 6026; 4/1713 pp.87-8) ------------------------------------------------- The affidavit: 1350.Cumberland. Ann Brazier who arrived in this colony on the ship Alexander being duly sworn deposeth that about ten months since this deponent lost her Certificate of Freedom and hath made no improper use of it. Ann Brazier. X, (her mark) Sworn before me, 10 Sept 1823. signed: W. W?? That about Christmas last you were in a state of intoxication at Billy Blues when a man knocked her down, he carried off her bundle and the certificate was in a pair of stockings which were in the bundle. Added: 1350. Ann Brazier 1823.
