Native Place: Queens Co., Ireland. 14 months Probation. 79 days gained by hard work. Ticket of Leave 10 Oct 1854. 30/07/1855: Misconduct - injury to a horse in his service and not reporting it. 3mths hard labour and to forfeit wages. 14/08/1855: Conditional Pardon 07/10/1856: Certificate of Freedom, Hobart.

Joseph Brennan was convicted at Carlow on 18 June 1849 for stealing a cow. First offence. Good report. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) on the 'Rodney' arriving 12/02/1852.
