Mary Brennan was transported on the Margaret, departing 24th Jan 1837 and arriving 30th May 1837 with 37 passengers.
Built 1829 at Chepstow. 365 tons. Female prisoners were transported to New South Wales on the 'Margaret' in 1837, 1839 and 1840. The 'Margaret' was the last convict ship to transport female prisoners to New South Wales. Another voyage to Van Diemen's Land in 1843. The 1840 sailing also carried 17 free female passengers and one male. The registers of persons is not yet complete on this web site, so please note this if researching. (A work in progress.)

"Mary Brennan is my 4th Great Grandmother. She was sentenced to 7 years and was bonded to Henry Badgery on Vine Lodge near Exeter. She married fellow convict Robert Level who was also bonded to Henry Badgery (life sentence). She was late in a regnancy with their first daughter Anne when they married. Second daughter Ellen is my 3rd Great Grandmother. Robert died not long after Ellen's birth."

Mary was born in about 1818. Mary was granted a ticket of leave on 18 July 1841. She applied to marry Robert Level which was granted on 25 May 1838. She subsequently married John Long Linton Blake on 25 October 1841 in the parish of Sutton Forest NSW.
