Convict Notes
Married with 1 child native of Kilkenny, Ireland. 1835 at Kilkenny sentenced to Life for conspiracy to murder. In August 1835 he was transported on the ship “Hive” The ship ran aground during the night of 10th December 1835, on the central part of Bherwerre Beach, Wreck Bay (south of present day Jervis Bay). The Captain John Nutting was in bed drunk & asleep at the time of the incident. Earlier he was reported to have said to his officers when they had shown concern regarding sailing directions set for the night, "One person is sufficient to navigate the ship!".
27th Oct 1841, admitted to Newcastle gaol from Paterson. No offence stated. Returned to government service. Sent to Hyde Park Barracks
