1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

The Annotated Convict records state that Patrick Brennan was 24 years. He could read; religion Roman Catholic; status married with one son and a native of County Tipperary. He was a farm servant. Patrick was convicted of manslaughter on 17 March 1836 at Tipperary and convicted to life. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 7 1/4 inches; complexion dark and freckled; hair dark brown and eyes dark hazel. Prisoner number 196. Prisoner number 36-1999 NSW 1837 General muster states that Patrick Brennan was assigned to Government Service in Sydney. Convict Death Register states that Patrick Brennan, Waterloo (4) aged 23 died on 20 June 1837 at Liverpool. Coroner Patrick Hill Junior. Burial Register for St Luke, Liverpool, NSW in the County of Cumberland was buried on 22 June 1837. He was a prisoner of the crown. The officiating minister was Rev. James Giinther (I, think). Entry number 693 in Burial Register. I have entered Patrick Brennan's age as per the entry in the Burial Register of St Luke's. ie birth year 1814 not 182 (Convict Indentures).
