Recorder’s Court -Sept. 18. William Brennan and Mary Brennan, for a felony a silver watch, the property Hugh Korke. The prosecutor stated, that on the night of Saturday week last, three persons came to his house in Pill-lane, where he carries on the business of a publican, at a very unseasonable hour. That his refusing to admit them, one them stated from the outside that they were peace-officers, which he opened the door, and they almost immediately closed on him, and took the watch out of bis fob. seized the two prisoners, but the third person, whom he supposed to have had the watch, made his escape. The Jury, found William Brennan guilty, and acquitted the female prisoner. Sentenced to transported for seven years. Saunders News-Letter, 19 Sept 1826.
