On Tuesday se'nnight our Sessions commenced …. Samuel Brewer, aged 24, indicted for stealing a deal, the property of Edward Davey. Guilty—the prisoner, who is an old offender, was sentenced to 14 years’ transportation, ... Norwich Mercury, 12 April 1828. On Friday last, in the afternoon,  the following convicts, arraigned at our last sessions and sentenced to be transported, were removed from our jail, in the custody of Mr. King, the gaoler, and Pratt, officers, viz. James Thompson, John Howlett, James Dure, and Francis Clarke, for seven years each, and Benj. Rumbold and Samuel Brewer for fourteen years each ; when the Quay was lined with people to witness their departure. Norwich Mercury, 26 April 1828.
