Family connections for Martin (Briant) are: BRY/IANT Martin (Bry/iant) was born about 1781. He was tried w/1other for house breaking & stealing watches of James (How) in Bromley at Kent Assizes, sentenced to death reprieved to Life, held at Maidstone gaol & Woolwich & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 3 1803 after a voyage of 6months on HNS GLATTON. He married firstly Ann (Farr) on 18 1 1807 at St Johns CofE Parramatta.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Ann (Farr) arrived in Australia as a convict. Ann (Farr) does not have an entry on this Website as yet. Martin (Bry/iant) & Ann (Farr) produced 1child: 1.Elizabeth (Briant) was born on 6 3 1809 & baptised on 19 3 1809 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She died on 21 3 1809 age15d & was buried at St Johns CofE Parramatta. .. >>>Martin (Bry/iant) was Free by Servitude by 1819 & associated secondly with Martha (Jamieson). Martin Brunt aged 19, George Lowe aged 18, for breaking into the house James How, in Bromley, and stealing two silver watches, were reprieved. Thomas Cousins Kentish Gazette, 24 March 1801. On Saturday last removed from his Majesty’s Gaol, at Maidstone, to Woolwich, the following convicts for transportation, viz. James Patnall Stafford, James Winter, James Neale, Martin Briant, George Low, ... Kentish Weekly Post, 2 June 1801.
