Christr Limebear Bridges was transported on the Surrey Or Surry, departing 31st Dec 1813 and arriving 28th Jul 1814 with 204 passengers.

Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

We, the undersigned Landholders of the District of the Seven Hills do hereby certify that Christopher Limebear Bridges during a residence of near five years in the above District as a schoolmaster has behaved himself with the strictest propriety. Signed: Matthew Pearce; William Joice; F. Meaurant; Daniel Brien; Morgan Ponzer; George Best; James O’Harra; M. O’Burn. 7 Hills 14 September 1823. To L.C. Bridges, 7 Hills. Your Petition for a Ticket of Leave having been submitted to the Acting Governor, His Honor has remarked that I required the Certificate of the local Magistrate and Chaplain to your Character, and to the truth of your statement. F. Goulburn Colonial Secretary, 19 December 1825. To the Bench of Magistrates at Parramatta Gentlemen, In reply to your letter of the 25th ? I have the honor to acquaint you that , to the best of my recollection, Charles Bridges, a prisoner of the Crown did call at this office, asking like many others for a Ticket of Leave, when he received the answer given always, that without the Instruments required by the Government Order of November 1822, that Indulgence could not be conferred on him.
