Family connections for James (Bridges) are: BRIDGES James (Bridges) was born about 1801 & became a tinplate worker. He was tried at probably Old Bailey, sentenced to Life, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 22 11 1817 after a voyage of 4months on LARKINS. He became a tinsman at Parramatta. He had been issued his Ticket of Leave when he married firstly Catherine (Moore her second marriage with permission on 6 5 1824 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He was recorded in 1828 with Ticket of Leave as a tinman with his wife & Samuel (Butler SHIPLEY 1819) at Parramatta.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Catherine (Moore) was born about 1794 & became a house servant. She was tried at Dublin city Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 18 12 1821 after a voyage of 5months on JOHN BULL. She had a relationship with George (Brown his first relationship). She was recorded in 1828 with her family at Parramatta. She was buried on 7 11 1828 age31/4 wife of a tin man at St Johns CofE Parramatta [Smee records death 15 2 1829 age31 mother of at least 2children]. He produced 1known child in his lifetime. Catherine (Combs) was born about 1805/11. She is recorded as arriving in NSW as a child on 22 11 1817 after a voyage of 4months on LARKINS also-although it seems she was actually born in the colony. She worked for Heagh (Taylor) at Parramatta. Details of Catherine (Comb)s family are given in entry for William (Combs ALBERMARLE 1791) on this Website. James (Bridges) & Catherine (Combs) produced at least 1child: 1.Mary Jane Elizabeth (Bridges) was born on 11 8 1830 at Parramatta & baptised on 5 9 1830 at St Johns CofE Parramatta.
