N.B. There are two Bridget Brien's on this voyage. These details are for identifier no. 2. Convicted at Waterford for stealing a hen. Previous convictions. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land arriving 24/02/1853. Native Place: Waterford Country servant; age 34yrs; 5'; dark complexion; black hair; blue eyes; Roman Catholic. Recorded as single but with 2 children - 1 on board. Assignments in Hobart. Child John Brian admitted to Queens Orphanage on 2/3/1853, aged 4yrs. Mother - Bridget Brien. Father - James Farrell. Bridget married Thomas Bridgeman at Hobart 3/4/1854 (ref. 531/1854-37). Child John released to mother's care on 29/7/1853. Ticket of Leave 2/1/1855 Ticket of Leave revoked 9/10/1855 Ticket of Leave restored 20/10/1857
