Travelled with 1,020 other convicts on the “Active, Albermarle, Atlantic, Barrington, Britannia, Mary Ann, Matilda, Salamanda, & William & Ann”. Departing England January 1791 and arriving NSW on 9th July 1791. In August Benjamin arrived on Norfolk Island, on the ship ‘Mary Ann’. Later, on the ship ‘Lady Nelson’, he sailed to Tasmania. On 3rd December 1810 he married Ann Potter Howard (McCloud) in Hobart. Died 11 August 1843 in Hobart.
