WRONG DATE ONREPORT ABOVE. SHOULD READ: Isaac Earle, charged with stabbing John Foley, constable, of TrowbrIdge, in order to prevent his (the said Isaac Earle's) lawful apprehension; also, George Brinkworth and Robert Brinkworth, for having aided and abetted the said Isaac Earle therein. Salisbury and Winchester Journal, 25 May 1829.

Isaac Earle, charged with stabbing John Foley, constable, of Trowbr dge, in order to prevent his (the said Isaac Earle's) lawful apprehension; also, George Brinkworth and Robert Brinkworth, for having aided and abetted the said Isaac Earle therein. Salisbury and Winchester Journal, 9 May 1831. -------------------------------------------------- The following prisoners, who received sentence of death at our last assizes, were removed on Thursday from Fisherton gaol on board the Leviathan hulk at Portsmouth:- Isaac Earle and Robert Brinkworth, for stabbing John Foley, and Stephen Payne, for sheep-stealing, to be transported for life; William Pitt and James Fisher, for sheep-stealing, and Charles Hiscock, for a theft, 14 years each; and Simon Sparks, for sheep-stealing, 7 years.- Walter Salter, who was sentenced to 7 years transportation at Warminster sessions for stealing potatoes, was removed at the same time.
