George Brisk was listed as 40 years old on arrival. Place of Birth: Guildford. Transported for "stealing carpenter's tools". George was 5'6" tall, C of E, reads and writes a little, married with 5 children. Wife: Charlotte Father: George Mother: Hannah -- all at native place. 6/1/1853: Employed by John D. Balfe at Sandy Bay. 22/1/1853: George was found dead at Huon, Tas. Inquest stated that he died of natural causes. No records found for William Brisk - seems he was the son of George and Charlotte Brisk (born Pullen) and born in 1841 - so 11/12 when the conviction took place, and it looks like he never made the voyage. Also stated that George was born in 1811 in Worplesdon, Surrey, Eng.
