Folio 17: Edward Bromley, aged 18, Convict; disease or hurt, scorbutus, a pain in his leg from a tumour near the patella and an enlargement under the left inferior maxillary bone, gums spongy, breath offensive. Taken ill, 19 June 1824, at sea. Discharged 8 July 1824 [folio 20].

ADM 101/16/81824 Medical and surgical journal of the convict ship Chapman for 4 March to 31 July 1824 by James Hamilton, Surgeon and Superintendent, during which time the said ship was bound for Van Diemen's Land. Folio 15: Edward Bromley, aged 18, Convict; disease or hurt, catarrh, headache and pain in his back and limbs and a cold. Taken ill, 7 June 1824, at sea. Discharged 9 June 1824 [folio 15].
