Old Bailey Online Born 1770. Age 48 in 1818 1168. ELIZABETH BROOKS was indicted for that she, on the 21st of July , at St. James, Clerkenwell, feloniously did dispose of and put away a certain forged and counterfeit bank note (setting it forth, No. 46,023, 1l. 9th of June, 1818, signed C. Tabor), with intent to defraud the Governor and Company of the Bank of England , she knowing the same to be forged and counterfeited . SECOND COUNT. The same, only calling the forged instrument a promissory note for payment of money, instead of a bank note. TWO OTHER COUNTS.
