Offence: Stealing Plate Height; 5ft. 5 3/4 inches Complexion: Ruddy Hair: Brown going bald Eyes; Hazel Date of Certificate; Noted against his name; Died at the General Hospital Sydney 23rd May 1832 ----------------------------------------------- Old Bailey On-Line WILLIAM BROWN, Theft > simple larceny, 29th October 1829. 1875. WILLIAM BROWN was indicted for stealing, on the 26th of September , 1 pepper-box, value 7s.; 1 salt-cellar, value 6s., and 1 spoon, value 2s. , the goods of William Walker . ANN WALKER . I am the wife of William Walker - he keeps an hotel in Green-street, Leicester-square . The prisoner, who was a stranger, came into the coffee-room on the 26th of September, and took these articles from the dining table - I missed them when he went, and sent a person after him; the property was found on him. JOHN MORRISON . I am a tallow-chandler. I took the prisoner back to the hotel: he acknowledged taking these articles, and went to give them back to me, but I took him to the hotel. JOHN HODGES . I am an officer, and took the prisoner.(Property produced and sworn to.) GUILTY . Aged 59. Transported for Seven Years .
