Elionor Bryan was trnasported for seven years after being tried at Waterford for stelaing articles out of a shop at Cappoqin. Freemans Journal Tuesday 5 April 1791 page 3 "On Saturday evening the Assizes ended (2nd April1791) at which the underentioned perons were found guilty and received sentence as follows: In the County Court "Elinor Bryan, for feloniously stealing out of the shop of Mr John Smith, at Cappoquin, several articles of shop goods, to be transported for seven years." The indent of the Boddingtons noted her age as 30 years, shortly before the ship departed Cove in February 1793. She had been incarcerated in Ireland for almost two years before being transported.
